Amber's confirmation

Well here it is - after a lot of deliberating and a little trip to Sir Stampalot I have finally made Amber's confirmation card. At last I have a new Tilda - suggested by the lady in the shop - there are so many to choose from but this works perfectly here and is a versatile image. She is decoupaged in shades of cream and is coloured with promarkers. The religious images are from another stamp set I picked up while I was there by Woodware - they are acrylic stamps from the Christian Celebrations set. I cut the backing paper with Martha Stewart punch around the corner punches (and I almost got the measurements right). The shape under Tilda is from Spellbinders beaded ovals and was embossed with a sizzix embossing folder. The pearls just give it that finishing touch. I think she will love it. It's going to be a special day, with grandparents and a godparent attending. She has a beautiful new Monsoon outfit, the dress has some colour coming up from the hem and Amber says it looks like she has sat down in a wet meadow!! We went to the rehearsal yesterday so we are all set for our service with the Bishop of Grantham on Sunday, or at least we will be when I've found her a suitable present and prepared a suitable feast for the occasion! Busy days ahead. Entering for Frosted designs - Homemade/handmade embellishments, Anything Goes - Pearl Challenge, Creative Craft Challenges - Embossing, Paper Sundaes- Childhood memories and Papertake Weekly Challenge - Truly dimensional. Thanks for looking, please leave a comment, I love reading them. Lynda xxxxx
